"You expect us to trust a Grounder? This is our home now. We built this from nothing with our bare hands! Our dead are buried behind that wall in this ground! Our ground! The Grounders think they can take that away. They think that because we came from the sky, we don't belong here. But they've yet to realize one very important fact: We are on the ground now, and that means we are Grounders!"
—Bellamy's speech to the 100.[src]

Bellamy Blake is a character in The 100. He débuts in the first episode of the first season of The 100. He is portrayed by starring member Bob Morley and guest starring member Spencer Drever.

History

Early Life

Bellamy's mother, was forced to keep her second pregnancy a secret because of the one child law on the Ark. A young Bellamy watched his mother give birth to his sister and helped to keep her quiet after the birth. After the child was born, Aurora told Bellamy to name her. He had learned about the Roman emperor, Augustus, and named his sister after the emperor's sister, Octavia. Aurora told Bellamy that Octavia was his responsibility. He told her he loves her very much and promises to keep her safe, no matter what may happen. Since Octavia was an illegal second child, she had to be kept hidden in their room, never venturing out. Bellamy would tell her stories and play with her, and tell her about the Ark. Their mother would also read them mythology, which Octavia loved. Octavia would also help Aurora, who was a seamstress on the Ark. In order to find out about the surprise inspections ahead of time, Aurora was sleeping with an Ark Guard and she was also trying to get Bellamy a position on the guard. During these inspections, Octavia was forced to hide under the floorboards and wait quietly until they were done. Bellamy told her to tell herself, "I am not afraid."[1][2]

Octavia was finally exposed a year before they were sent to Earth. Bellamy had become an Ark Guard Cadet and was able to get duty during the Unity Day masquerade party. He sneaks Octavia out of their room so she could attend and promises her that he'll keep her safe and deliver her home before their mother even knows they're gone. The party is disrupted by a solar flare alert, requiring everyone to show ID. Since Octavia didn't have ID, they knew they would be caught. Bellamy tells her to go straight back to their room and hide but Octavia tells him that she doesn't know how to get back. Commander Shumway notices that Bellamy has his shock baton out and starts to question him. Bellamy begs Commander Shumway to let her go, but he refuses stating Bellamy is not a guardsman yet. Octavia tries to run but is easily captured. Octavia is imprisoned, their mother was executed and Bellamy loses his position as a Guard Cadet and demoted to janitor.[1]

Going to Earth

Over the next year, Bellamy is unable to see Octavia in Lockup. He is then approached by Commander Shumway who tells him that 100 prisoners are being sent to the ground, among them his sister. He offer Bellamy the chance to go to Earth and protect Octavia but only if he shoots and kills the Chancellor. Bellamy accepts the deal and stows away on the drop ship.[3][1]

Bellamy reunites with his sister Octavia on the drop ship after it lands on earth. He assures her that he is there for her protection. Bellamy quickly takes charge of the Delinquents, convincing them to remove their wristbands so the people in the Ark will think they're dead and won't come down to earth to take away their freedom. He also recruits John Murphy and John Mbege as his enforcers. Throughout the episode, Bellamy pesters Wells Jaha to remove his wristband and antagonizes him since Wells is Chancellor Jaha's son. Toward the end of the episode, he has Murphy and Mbege forcibly remove Wells' wristband.[3]

Bellamy joins Clarke and Wells on their search for Jasper, who may still be alive and he leaves Atom in charge of Octavia while he's gone. As they're looking for Jasper, Bellamy tries to get Clarke to take off her wristband but Finn Collins shows up and suggests they all split up to cover more ground. While Clarke goes with Finn, Bellamy walks with Wells and talks with him about Wells' relationship with Clarke. Bellamy tells him that she doesn't even notice him with Finn around. After walking for a while, the groups reunite near where Jasper is. Clarke falls into an animal pit when she rushes toward Jasper and Bellamy grabs her hand to keep her from falling to her death. There is a moment when Bellamy briefly considers letting go but he continues to hold on. Wells, Finn, and Murphy help Bellamy pull Clarke out of the hole. At that moment, a jaguar comes upon them and Bellamy reaches for his gun, only to find out that Wells has stolen it. The jaguar is about to pounce on Bellamy when Wells shoots it dead. Finn has Murphy help him get Jasper down and tells Wells to stay with Clarke and keep an eye on Bellamy. When they return to camp, Bellamy catches Atom with Octavia and ties him up on a tree, leaving him there for the rest of the night.[4]

Bellamy orders a search for Trina and Pascal, who have been missing for a while. He is confronted by Octavia because he punished Atom for kissing her. He and a few other delinquents, including Charlotte, a little girl, go searching again for the two delinquents, as well as hunting for food. Acid Fog strikes and he manages to get Charlotte inside a cave before it reaches them, except Atom doesn't make it. While in the cave, Charlotte has a nightmare and starts to scream. Bellamy explains that she can't be afraid because fear is death and he gives her a knife, telling her to "slay her own demons" as well as telling her to repeat the phrase "Screw you. I'm not afraid" whenever she's afraid. Once the fog passes they set out in search of Atom. They find him dying; his eyes are a pale, gray color and his skin is destroyed from where the fog touched it. Atom begs Bellamy to kill him and Charlotte hands Bellamy the knife he gave to her, telling him not to be afraid. He sends everyone back to camp and tries to bring himself to kill Atom. Clarke arrives and realizes there is no hope for Atom. Bellamy watches as she takes the knife from him and humanely kills Atom. Once back at camp, he is confronted by an angry Octavia due to Atom's death.[5]

Bellamy argues with Clarke once it's discovered that Wells wasn't murdered by a Grounder but a delinquent. Clarke wants to find the real killer but Bellamy tells her it's not a good idea. She ignores him and soon everyone believe Murphy killed Wells. Murphy is almost beaten and hanged to death, with Bellamy kicking the stool out from under him at the urging of the crowd. He tells Clarke it is her fault for revealing to the Delinquents that one of them killed Wells. After Charlotte confesses to killing Wells, Murphy wants Charlotte to be punished the same way he was but Bellamy doesn't allow it and she flees the camp with Clarke and Finn. Murphy and several other Delinquents are angered at the situation and search for Charlotte. Bellamy is ahead of the enraged Delinquents and runs into Charlotte, who is trying to turn herself in after running away from Clarke and Finn. They stop at a cliff and are cornered by the others. Murphy holds Clarke hostage in exchange for Charlotte. Charlotte ends up taking her own life and jumps off the cliff, much to Bellamy's horror. Bellamy beats up Murphy but Clarke stops him from killing him. They agree to banish Murphy from the camp instead. He orders the angry Delinquents to follow him back to camp or join Murphy.[6]

Bellamy asleep in his tent with two girls when he wakes up. He looks up into the sky and sees Raven's pod falling to the surface. He heads out early in the day to find it and Octavia follows after him. They get into a fight when he reveals to her that he shot Chancellor Jaha in order to get on the drop ship with her. This makes Octavia furious and she storms off. Bellamy finds the crashed drop ship and steals its radio, tossing it into a river. When Clarke and Finn realize Bellamy is gone, they track him down, ultimately finding Raven and her crashed pod. Later, when they encounter Bellamy in the woods, they confront him about the missing radio. He tells them about his shooting of Chancellor Jaha and Raven informs him that Jaha is still alive, much to Bellamy's relief. Clarke tells him about the air shortage on the Ark and convinces him to help them find the radio. Bellamy leads a search group made up of Clarke, Finn, Raven, Jones, Connor and a few others as they look for the radio in the river. When they find it, it is deemed irreparable. Instead, Raven come up with an idea to salvage her drop ship so they can create a launcher to set off flares that might be visible from the Ark. As they're watching the rockets go off, Clarke asks Bellamy if they could wish on that kind of shooting star and he tells her he doesn't even know what to wish for.[7]

Bellamy realizes that Octavia has gone missing and forms a search party in an effort to find her. They soon see a spectacular meteor shower, which Clarke realizes is actually a funeral for 320 people from the Ark. Bellamy brushes off Raven's accusations that it is all Bellamy's fault and he quickly takes off with a group of delinquents in search of Octavia. Once they are in the Grounder's territory, they are quickly under attack. John Mbege, Diggs, and Roma are killed and Bellamy, Finn, Jasper, and Monroe are surrounded by grounders when a horn is heard in the distance. Finn, believing it to be Acid Fog, quickly sets up a tent and they take shelter under it. After a few minutes, Bellamy looks outside and finds no acid fog. They spot a Grounder running through the forest and they follow him back to his cave. Once inside they find the grounder unconscious and Octavia chained up. Bellamy quickly frees Octavia and threatens to kill the grounder but Octavia wants to spare him. While they argue, Finn notices the Grounder's horn and reaches for it. The Grounder stabs Finn and a fight ensues with the Grounder pinning Bellamy down. Octavia begs the Grounder to not kill her brother and gives Jasper the opportunity to knock the Grounder out again. Once back at camp, Octavia tries to leave again, but Bellamy stops her. They get into a heated argument, blaming each other for their troubled past. Octavia walks off and Bellamy notices that a storm is coming.[1]

With the help of Miller and Drew, Bellamy brings a captured and restrained Grounder into the drop ship. They tie him up on the third floor of the drop ship and Bellamy makes Octavia leave when she protests the treatment of him. Bellamy beats the Grounder, trying to get information about the other Grounders. He looks through the Grounder's bag they find a tin full of vials and a journal. In the journal, Bellamy sees a drawing of Octavia and is not pleased. He then sees a drawing of the drop ship and tally marks representing the number of delinquents with ten crossed out for the ten deaths that had already occurred. Clarke soon arrives, announcing that the blade Lincoln had stabbed Finn with was poisoned. Bellamy tells Clarke she doesn't have to be there while he tortures Lincoln to find the antidote, but Clarke stays. Octavia begs him to stop, telling him the Grounder had saved their lives even though Finn was dying downstairs. Bellamy brutally tortures the Grounder, whipping him with a seat-belt and putting a spike through his hand, yet the Grounder still will not speak. Raven comes into the room after Finn almost dies again and begins to electrocute the Grounder. Octavia makes her stop when she slices open her own forearm with the poisoned blade, saying that the Grounder wouldn't let her die. The Grounder finally reveals the antidote in order to save Octavia's life.[8]

Bellamy still won't let Octavia see the Grounder even though she's been waiting. He leaves Miller in charge while he goes on a supply run with Clarke to a former military facility. Inside, they find guns from before the nuclear war and collect them. Bellamy teaches Clarke how to fire a gun. Bellamy eats one of the hallucinogenic nuts as he tells Clarke he needs to get some fresh air. Once outside, he begins having visions of Chancellor Jaha and the many Ark residents who were culled because they didn't know earth was survivable. He begs Jaha for forgiveness and is beaten by him as the deceased Ark residents close in around him. Bellamy is attacked by another Delinquent, Dax, who was tasked by Commander Shumway to kill him. As Bellamy is still hallucinating, it makes it difficult for him to fight off the attack. Clarke attempts to save Bellamy but is disarmed by Dax. Bellamy stabs Dax in the neck with a bullet, killing him. Bellamy tells Clarke that he's a monster and he doesn't want to face any of it. Clarke tells him that they all need him and that it is because of him that they're still alive. Bellamy agrees to return to camp and speak with Chancellor Jaha. Once back at camp, after discovering the Grounder had escaped, he and Clarke revealed they had a way to fight back now with the guns they had found. Later, he asks Octavia if she set the Grounder free. Octavia lies and Bellamy walks away. When he and Clarke talk to Chancellor Jaha, they demand Bellamy be pardoned of his crimes like all of the delinquents. Jaha agrees to pardon Bellamy's crimes in exchange for Bellamy telling him that it was Commander Shumway who had him shoot the chancellor. The news of his pardon brings a sign of relief to his face.[9]

Bellamy is keeping watch over The Camp while the Delinquents celebrate Unity Day. He is approached by Clarke and he tells her to enjoy the celebration and she replies that he should as well. Later on, when Finn decides to form a truce with the grounders, Clarke asks Bellamy to follow behind them as backup. She says that she wants them to remain hidden and bring guns, in case it's an ambush. Bellamy recruits Raven and Jasper to accompany him. When the meeting begins, Bellamy witnesses Octavia hugging Lincoln and is not pleased to realize his sister lied to him and freed the Grounder. Soon after, Jasper spots grounders in the trees and opens fire. The grounders return fire and Bellamy shoots Anya in the arm, saving Clarke. As the grounders fire arrows at the delinquents, Bellamy witnesses Lincoln taking an arrow for Octavia before they all flee back to the camp.[10]

Bellamy goes to investigate the crash site of the Exodus drop ship with Clarke, Raven, and Finn. He notices that there seems to be no survivors and has everyone return to camp when Raven announces there's leaking rocket fuel. Later, a trip-wire is activated on the perimeter and Octavia discovers an injured Murphy and he's carried into camp by Connor and Derek. He has been severely tortured by the Grounders and managed to escape when they "forgot" to lock his cage. Clarke soon discovers that Murphy brought a contagious virus to camp and many of the delinquents are affected by it. Bellamy is especially worried about Octavia since she was the one to first find Murphy. He catches her reading Lincoln's journal and tells her that she needs to let Clarke inspect her. Clarke tells Bellamy that she'll keep Octavia quarantined but instead asks Octavia to get the cure from Lincoln. After Octavia returns and tells them there is no cure and that the Grounders are attacking at dawn, Bellamy works with Raven and Finn to come up with a plan to give the delinquents some more time against the grounders by blowing up the bridge. Bellamy becomes infected and begins coughing up blood, having to pass his job in the mission on to Jasper. Octavia takes care of him throughout the night, making the same promises to Bellamy that he made to her when she was first born. The next morning, they see the debris cloud of an explosion in the distance, confirmation that Jasper, Monty, Raven, and Finn succeeded in destroying the bridge before the Grounders were able to cross.[11]

Clarke tells Bellamy that she thinks the grounders are still coming. They mention the lack of communication from the Ark, and Bellamy concludes that they've probably ran out of air. They continue to talk until Clarke says to Bellamy that no one is coming to save them. Later, the Smokehouse catches on fire and there is a fight going on between Murphy and Del. Bellamy breaks up the fight, and is told by Octavia that all of the food was in that shed and it was Del's fault. Bellamy and Clarke decide that to survive the winter, they must go hunting. Bellamy then goes to tell Raven that he needs more bullets, only to see her packing up to go. He asks her to stay and she refuses. To try and convince her, he mentions her past achievements. She mentions that she could build radios to communicate and Bellamy agrees. Later, Bellamy goes back to Raven's tent, only to see her upset about the fact that Clarke and Finn still haven't returned. He tells her to move on and she strips off her clothes and tells him to do the same. Bellamy is reluctant and says that he's not going to talk her down. Raven says good and kisses him. After they sleep together, Raven gets up and puts her clothes back on. Bellamy asks if sleeping with him helped to which she replies it did not. Later, Bellamy, Monty, Octavia, and Raven are looking for delinquents in the forest. They find an injured Myles and bring him back to camp, giving up on finding Finn and Clarke. Bellamy radios Monty and gets no response.[12]

Bellamy is instructing the Delinquents to work on the land mines and he announces that no one will be going after Clarke, Monty, and Finn who have gone missing. When a delinquent falls asleep on watch and accidentally misfires, wasting a bullet, Bellamy freaks out and shakes him. Octavia tells him he's scaring people and he gives a speech to the delinquents on why they should be scared. In the drop ship, Bellamy tells Jasper that he's doing what's best for the group by not going after Monty, Clarke, and Finn. He then goes to get Myles water. Later, when Murphy begins to threaten Jasper, Bellamy overhears on the radio and runs to the closed doors of the drop ship. Bellamy uses a walkie-talkie to talk with Murphy inside the drop ship while Raven crawls underneath to find a way to open the drop ship door. After Octavia criticizes him for not doing anything, he decides to take Jasper's place in the ship. Before getting in the ship, he tells the delinquents to keep working. In the ship, Murphy fires a few shots into the floor when he hears Raven below. He tells Bellamy to tie a noose and Bellamy apologizes for before, for kicking the crate out from under Murphy. Murphy says he wants Bellamy to feel what he felt and he makes Bellamy put the noose around his neck and tightens it. He then kicks the crate out from under Bellamy. Raven gets the drop ship door open just in time and Octavia is able to save Bellamy. Bellamy decides not to go after Murphy but does announce that they will be going after Monty, Clarke, and Finn. Jasper then hugs him before they hear movement outside. Clarke and Finn run inside and inform Bellamy of the incoming Grounder army. He refuses to move camp and says that they need to hold their ground. Clarke says the opposite, however, and convinces the camp to leave. Bellamy says this is a mistake.[13]

Bellamy discusses battle strategy with the rest of the group and suggests going to the Reapers, but Clarke shoots him down. Bellamy taunts Finn for wanting to run but Clarke makes him stop. She tells Bellamy that they can't do this without him because the delinquents are willing to die for him. He unhappily agrees to try and make it to the ocean to evade the Grounders. Before they can escape, however, the grounder scouts attack and Drew is killed. Clarke agrees with Bellamy that they now need to stay and fight. During the battle with the Grounders, Bellamy commands the troops to hold fire when he realizes the Grounders are drawing out their ammo. Soon, the delinquents outside the walls are in direct combat with the grounders and Bellamy tells them to retreat behind the walls. Bellamy is about to be killed by one before Octavia saves his life. They share a moment before he gives his blessing for her to go with Lincoln because she was shot and wounded by an arrow. Bellamy rushes back to get inside the walls of the camp and sees Tristan killing delinquents. He fights a losing battle with Tristan before Finn joins in. Clarke has to leave both Finn and Bellamy outside the drop ship in order to save the rest of the delinquents' lives.[14]

Bellamy is running through the woods with a spear and catches up to Sterling and Monroe. The three come up with a plan to free Finn from his hostage situation (he was taken as a prisoner by Tristan). Monroe and Sterling hesitate and Bellamy ends up being taken prisoner, as well. Monroe tells Sterling that they are warriors and they try to attack Tristan. Tristan is about to kill them when he is shot from behind and killed by Kane. The Delinquents lead a group of Sky People back to The Camp and they discover almost everyone is gone. The only two people who remain are a gravely injured Raven and Murphy. Bellamy tries killing Murphy by almost beating him to death but is quickly arrested by Kane who tells him they're not animals and are no longer in control.[15]

Marcus Kane interrogates Bellamy about the Grounders. Murphy is also brought in and is chained up with Bellamy. Kane leaves when they hear gunshots outside. Bellamy and Murphy then hear Raven's screams from her surgery. Murphy mentions how he had been tortured for three days by the Grounders before he gave up information on the Delinquents and he doubts Bellamy would have done much better. Later, Finn frees Bellamy and tells him they're going after the missing Delinquents. Bellamy then goes to free Murphy because Murphy knows where the Grounder prison camp is and that's where their friends might be. Bellamy, Murphy, Finn, Monroe, and Sterling sneak out of Camp Jaha. Outside the camp, they run into Abby and David Miller who give them weapons and tell them to find their children and bring them home.[16]

Bellamy, Finn, Sterling, Monroe, and Murphy try to locate the rest of the Delinquents. Murphy leads them to where he was kept prisoner by the Grounders. At a distance, they look through their rifle scopes for the missing delinquents but don't spot them. Finn notices one of the Grounders, Delano, is wearing Clarke's watch around his neck. Bellamy notes that Clarke would not give the watch up without a fight as it was her father's. They come up with a plan to lure the Grounder out and capture him for information. Murphy is given two rocks to bang together to attract the attention of the Grounder with Clarke's watch. It works and as Delano approaches, Bellamy hits him over the head and knocks him unconscious. They take Delano to Finn's Bunker so they can question him. Bellamy is trying to keep them from torturing the Grounder since he learned long ago with Lincoln that it doesn't work. Finn gets worked up that Delano won't tell them where the rest of the Delinquents are and pulls a gun on Delano, threatening to kill him. Bellamy tries to calm Finn down and Finn points the gun at Bellamy, telling him to back off. As Finn cocks the gun, Delano confesses and says that their friends are East of there and he'll draw them a map. Monroe gets him some paper to draw the map. Once Delano has drawn the map, Bellamy and Murphy discuss what to do with him. Murphy wants to kill him but Bellamy says that since Delano is unarmed, it would be an execution. Finn kills Delano anyway.[17]

Bellamy, Murphy, Finn, Monroe, and Sterling are following Delano's map to get the missing Delinquents back from the Grounders. They come across the massive debris field of the Factory Station that crashed into the side of a cliff and it doesn't appear there are any survivors. As they're about to leave, they hear a lone survivor, Mel, calling for help from down below. Sterling recognizes her and decides to go after her while Bellamy and Finn argue about whether or not to leave her. As Sterling is trying to rescue Mel from the side of the cliff, none of the others are doing much to help him. The rope comes undone and Sterling plunges to his death, shocking Monroe and Murphy. Finn wants to leave Mel behind but Monroe protests and Bellamy refuses to leave Mel. They find some materials to make a new rope and Bellamy climbs down to get Mel. As they're trying to pull Bellamy and Mel back up, they suddenly come under attack by Grounders. The rope breaks with Murphy being the only thing stopping them from falling to their deaths like Sterling. Monroe starts shooting at the Grounders and is hit in the leg with an arrow. Finn and Murphy continue struggling as they try to pull Bellamy and Mel up.

Bellamy, Octavia, and Monroe

A foghorn is heard, warning of an Acid Fog attack, and the Grounders flee. When Bellamy is pulled up, he realizes that Murphy had saved their lives. As they're about to take cover from the incoming Acid Fog, Octavia appears and they realize she had blown Lincoln's horn that saved their lives. Bellamy helps Mel tie up her injured arm while Octavia bandages Monroe's wounded leg. Murphy asks her about Lincoln and she tells them he is gone. Because of Monroe's and Mel's injuries, they need to get them back to Camp Jaha. Bellamy allows Finn and Murphy to continue the search for the missing Delinquents and gives them two guns for protection before they part ways.[18] Bellamy, Octavia, Monroe, and Mel return to Camp Jaha and Clarke runs to greet them, giving Bellamy and Octavia hugs.

Bellamy and Clarke reunite

Bellamy tells her Finn is still out looking for her. Later, after Abby refuses to allow anyone to get Murphy and Finn, Bellamy and Clarke meet Raven at a section of the gate surrounding Camp Jaha. Octavia arrives and they gear up. Raven then has Wick shut down the electricity to that area of the fence and Bellamy, Octavia, and Clarke head out into the woods. Later that night, Bellamy keeps watch in the woods while Clarke and Octavia sleep. Clarke wakes up and they discuss her closing the drop ship door with him telling her that it had to be done. He then tells her how Finn hasn't been the same since Clarke disappeared and he let Finn go with Murphy and two guns. Clarke tells him she was sure it had to be done, too. They discuss getting the Delinquents out of Mount Weather and Octavia wakes up and makes them include Lincoln in their mission. Octavia then leads Bellamy and Clarke to the Abraham Lincoln statue near Lincoln's village. She breaks down and begins to cry as she tells Bellamy about how the Reapers took Lincoln and she couldn't save him. They soon hear gunshots and start running toward the village. When they finally approach, they find Finn gunning down dozens of Grounders. Bellamy and the others are shocked by this act.[19] Two days after the massacre at Lincoln's village, Clarke and Bellamy are sitting outside in the bar area of Camp Jaha. They are reviewing Clarke's map of the tunnels through Mount Weather and are discussing an action plan to get the Delinquents out. Finn and Murphy approach and Clarke admits she hasn't talked to Finn since they got back. Bellamy leaves to get drinks. Later, Bellamy and Octavia go along on the mission to take out Mount Weather's radio tower. They sneak off from the group in order to search on their own for Lincoln. Their absence is soon noticed and some Ark guards are sent after them. Acid Fog descends upon everyone and Octavia follows the fleeing critters to a sealed door.

Bellamy and Octavia hide from a Reaper Lincoln

They get the door open and make it into a long-forgotten parking garage, rescuing two of the three the Ark guards who had followed them (one was swallowed up by the fog). They split up from the guards with Sgt. Scott giving Bellamy a gun. They soon hear the guards screaming and run to them only to see Reapers devouring them. Bellamy kills the two Reapers and then they spot another one kneeling over Sgt. Scott. Octavia recognizes it's Lincoln and calls out to him. He turns and starts to attack her and she shoots him in the leg. She and Bellamy escape and plan a way to lure Lincoln back out so they can capture him. Octavia acts as bait and Bellamy uses the Ark guard's stun stick to knock Lincoln out. He tells Octavia that they will take Lincoln home.[20]

Bellamy brings Clarke to the drop ship and asks her to help with Lincoln who is once again chained to the walls after having been turned into a Reaper. Clarke inspects Lincoln and discovers needle marks on his neck. Lincoln manages to break free and begins attacking everyone until Octavia is able to knock him out again. They get him chained back up and Octavia tries to give him some water but Lincoln thrashes at her, upsetting her. She leaves the drop ship to get some more water and brings Nyko back with her. Nyko tells them that death is the only way to reverse the Reaper state just as Finn appears to warn them that everyone in Camp Jaha is about to leave. When Nyko sees Finn, he attacks him and strangles him for slaughtering his village. Bellamy lifts up his gun but Octavia blocks his way and won't let him shoot Nyko. Clarke uses an Ark Guard's stun stick to knock Nyko off Finn just as Octavia realizes that Lincoln has stopped breathing. Nyko watches in awe as Clarke gives Lincoln chest compressions and gets him breathing again. Clarke realizes she can use the Reapers to her advantage to stop the Grounder attack and leaves for Camp Jaha to get her mom. Abby arrives at the drop ship and gives Lincoln a shot to bring down his fever when he starts convulsing again. He stops breathing and Abby begins chest compressions. Abby finally gives up and says that Lincoln is gone. Octavia refuses to believe her and continues chest compressions while Bellamy tries to comfort her. Clarke with Lexa and several other Grounders enter at that moment and they are at a standstill with everyone going for their weapons. Abby picks up the shock baton and holds it in front of her before using it as a defibrillator on Lincoln, shocking him twice before he starts breathing again, much to the Grounders' surprise and the Sky Peoples' relief.[21]

At Camp Jaha, security has been increased and even Murphy has received a gun. Bellamy and Clarke approach and Finn offers to help with the perimeter security but Bellamy takes him inside. Later, Bellamy and Raven confront Abby, asking her what they're planning to do with Finn and she tells them they're all trying to find a way out of the situation. Bellamy takes that to mean they're giving Finn up. Bellamy finds Finn and tells him they need to leave because the rest of the Sky People are getting restless. They're approached by some Sky People and Bellamy knocks one of them down so Clarke and Finn can escape. Bellamy, Raven, and Murphy (by Raven's invitation) arrive at the drop ship first. Finn arrives at the drop ship, carrying an unconscious Clarke. Bellamy and Murphy take care of Clarke while Raven tries to comfort Finn. Clarke wakes up and Finn tells her he thought she was dead because of him. Clarke tells him he is not defined by the things he's done. Bellamy shouts a warning to them that the Grounders have arrived and they're surrounded. Raven wants to give up Murphy instead of Finn because Murphy was also at the village. Finn steps between Raven and Murphy and tells them they need to stay and defend the drop ship. He instructs Murphy to go upstairs and watch the back while he takes the lower level of the drop shop and Bellamy, Raven, and Clarke will take the front gate. Finn and Raven hug goodbye and Finn tells her, "May we meet again." He then climbs out the bottom of the drop ship. Clarke, Raven, and Bellamy are watching the front gate when they say Finn step out in front of them and surrender himself to the Grounders. Back at Camp Jaha, Clarke, Raven, Bellamy, and the rest of the Sky People watch as the Grounders start setting up for Finn's execution. Abby says there is nothing to be done. Clarke, Raven, and Bellamy then meet up at Raven's Gate where Raven gives Clarke a knife so Clarke can kill Lexa because Raven owes Finn her life. Bellamy watches with Raven from Camp Jaha as Clarke walks over to Finn and hugs him, telling him she loves him and that he will be okay before stepping away to reveal that she had killed him with the knife Raven gave her. Lexa tells her warriors that it is done and keeps them from attacking. Raven screams and crumples in hysterical grief while Bellamy catches her and holds onto her.[22]

On the walk from Camp Jaha to Tondc, Bellamy asks Clarke if she's doing all right and tells her she did the right thing with Finn. Bellamy then tells her they're wasting time and what they really need is an inside man in Mount Weather. Clarke tells him she doesn't want him to go because she can't lose him, too. While camping for the night, Clarke places her bedroll on the side of the Grounders. Bellamy tells her it's safer on their side but Clarke says they need to trust the Grounders. Bellamy places his stuff down on the Grounder side as well. They arrive at Tondc and everyone has to disarm before entering and Bellamy gives up his gun. Later, after the funeral, Bellamy joins everyone for a banquet celebrating the alliance. Marcus Kane brings forward some liquor to share. Clarke and Lexa both take a goblet but Gustus stops Lexa and takes a sip first before giving it back to her. As they toast and are about to take a sip, Gustus falls over having been poisoned. Bellamy knocks the goblet out of Clarke's hands before she can drink from it and all of the Sky People are searched with the Grounders finding the poison on Raven. Lexa commands for all of the Sky People to be locked up. Kane goes over to talk to Clarke and tells her that they need to figure out who would want Lexa dead. They come to the conclusion that the poisoner had to be someone who was trying to break the alliance. Nyko and Indra take Raven away for her execution. Indra tells them the rest of them are free and they should run. Clarke eventually realizes the poison wasn't in the bottle; it was in the cup. She runs outside and asks Nyko for the bottle and drinks from it, showing it wasn't poisoned. Bellamy realizes that it was Gustus who poisoned the cup because he was trying to protect Lexa from the alliance. Lexa commands him to be tied up in Raven's place. That night, Raven gets the radio signal from Mount Weather and hears Jasper's message. Clarke tells Bellamy he was right and that they need an inside man. She tells him she was being weak and it's worth the risk for him to go. Lincoln tells Bellamy he'll take him through the Reaper tunnels but Octavia needs to stay behind and make sure the alliance doesn't fail because she has knowledge of both worlds.[23]

Infiltrating Mt. Weather

Bellamy and Lincoln are disguised as Reapers as they head toward the Mount Weather mines. Lincoln spears an animal and cuts it open. He smears blood on his face along with limestone to enhance his Reaper disguise. Lincoln tells Bellamy about the intake process and how each person is tagged for either Cerberus Project (like Lincoln) or for Harvest. Bellamy mentions that his mom read mythology to him and Octavia all the time and that Octavia loved it, causing Lincoln to smile. Bellamy asks why he protected Octavia before he knew her. Lincoln then tells Bellamy how when he was a boy, a Sky Person dropped from The Ark and onto Earth. For three days, Lincoln tended to the man, eventually telling his father. His father made Lincoln kill the man and the world has been trying to turn him into a monster for as long as he can remember. Later, Lincoln tells Bellamy that he remembers everything from when he was on the Reaper Red drug. When they reach the entrance to the Reaper mines, Lincoln appears hesitant, but goes on anyway. As Lincoln and Bellamy make their way through the Reaper tunnels, Lincoln finds himself struggling with his addiction to the Reaper drug. The two discuss the plan to infiltrate and Lincoln again says he doesn't think he can do it. He tries to back out of the plan but they're interrupted by another Reaper Raiding Party and Lincoln has to pretend that Bellamy is his captive to keep their ploy from being discovered. Once they reach the underground entrance to Mount Weather, Bellamy and the other captured grounders are marked for harvesting. Lincoln is unable to resist the Red drug and allows Bellamy to be harvested by the Mountain Men.[24]

Bellamy has been harvested by Mount Weather and is chained up and forced through the decontamination process where he is blasted with boiling water, doused with decontamination powder, inspected, given shots, and painfully scrubbed down. He later wakes up locked in a cage in the Harvest Chamber. He tries to get out when the Grounder in the cage next to him (Echo) tells him in Trigedasleng to be quiet because the Mountain Men take the strongest. Bellamy tells her he can't understand her and she spits on him when she realizes he's a Sky Person. He tells her they're not enemies any more and he needs to get out of the cage so he can kill everyone in the mountain. Sgt. Lovejoy and another Mountain Man enter the Harvest Chamber looking for their next victim. They start to unlock Echo's cave but Bellamy starts kicking at his cage to get their attention. They pick him instead, shocking him with a stun stick and injecting him with a sedative. He is then strung upside-down and his blood is circulated out. Maya Vie enters the Harvest Chamber looking for Monty and Harper. Instead, she finds Bellamy hanging upside-down. She injects him with epinephrine to wake him up and asks him if he's from the Ark and knows Jasper. Bellamy realizes it's Maya who is helping him and asks for her to get him down. She starts pulling off the electrodes just as Lovejoy walks in and asks what she's doing in there. Maya lies and says she wanted to know what was so special about Bellamy but he's dead. Lovejoy checks the heart monitor without realizing Maya had already detached the wires from Bellamy and starts to get Bellamy down. Once Bellamy's feet are free, Bellamy kicks Lovejoy and Lovejoy holds a gun on him. Maya stabs Lovejoy in the neck with a scalpel and Bellamy and Lovejoy begin fighting. Maya picks up a gun and tells Lovejoy to stop but Bellamy warns her not to use it because everyone else will hear the gunshot. Lovejoy is gaining the upper hand when Echo reaches out of her cage and grabs hold of his arm to prevent him from stabbing Bellamy with the scalpel that was in his neck. Bellamy then strangles Lovejoy, killing him. He thanks Echo for her help and asks Maya if she is all right. At first, Maya seems traumatized but then she resolves herself and tells Bellamy she is fine and helps Bellamy get Lovejoy undressed. Bellamy then re-enters from the "End Containment Area" wearing Lovejoy's guard uniform. He pushes the button to send Lovejoy's body down into the Reaper tunnels. Bellamy tells Maya she has done enough and should walk away. Maya tells him she's in and hands Bellamy Lovejoy's gun and badge. She tells him she can take him to the radio and that Monty and Harper have already gone missing. Maya tells him that everyone knows everyone else as she removes Lovejoy's name-tag and gives Bellamy a hat. As she cuts out Bellamy's tracking device, she asks him how he knew her name. Bellamy tells her that Clarke told him that Jasper "couldn't stop talking about someone named Maya." She tell him to put the tracking device in his cage. As he does so, he promises Echo that he will be back. Maya leads Bellamy through Mount Weather to an elevator, pointing out cameras and telling him how to get around. As they get on the elevator, another resident gets on with them and chats with Maya. The elevator stops and two more people get on. The elevator stops again and Maya gestures for Bellamy to exit behind the other two people. The man on the elevator notices that there is blood on Bellamy's collar. Maya claims he must have been exposed and steals the man's handkerchief to hold against Bellamy's face as she kicks the other man out of the elevator to do her job of tracing down the alleged radiation leak. They continue to head toward to the dorm when they come across a group of Mount Weather preschoolers. One of them walks up to Bellamy and asks him if he's on a ground unit because his father is training to be on a ground unit. As the boy leaves, his backpack reveals the last name, "Lovejoy." Bellamy finally realizes that the mountain is not just full of Mountain Men but also civilians. Meanwhile, Monty and Jasper are ordering the Delinquents to pack their things because they're no longer safe in Mount Weather. Just as Bellamy and Maya approach the dorm, an alarm is heard and the doors to the dorm close, sealing the Delinquents in. Jasper sees Bellamy and Maya on the other side of the door as Bellamy tells Maya to get him to the radio. Bellamy gets through on the radio to Clarke and he tells her that the Delinquents have been locked up and that things are going to get ugly. He says that they need a plan that doesn't kill everyone because there are kids in there. Clarke tells Bellamy that he needs to turn off the Acid Fog and free the imprisoned Grounders. Bellamy asks Clarke to buy him some time so they won't discover him inside the mountain just yet.[25]

Bellamy is in Mount Weather and calls in over the radio to Camp Jaha to tell Clarke about how the Delinquents are being taken away one at a time. Clarke tells Bellamy to find the missing Delinquents. Bellamy then crawls through the air vents as he tries to find the missing Delinquents. He hears the sound of drilling and heads down a duct toward the noise and witnesses Dr. Tsing drilling into a now-dead Delinquent and extracting bone marrow to give to Carl Emerson. Cage Wallace asks Emerson about Clarke and Emerson gives him the message that they're supposed to release the Delinquents. Cage then tells Emerson that it doesn't matter because tonight, he's going to drop a missile on Tondc where all of their leaders are meeting. Bellamy asks Clarke if she heard everything through his earpiece and she tells Raven she's leaving for Tondc. Bellamy asks after Octavia and Clarke lies that she's not there any more. When Dr. Tsing returns to the dorm to pick another Delinquent, Bellamy pretends to be a guard and grabs Jasper when the Delinquents try to fight back. He hands Jasper a gun and tells him they need to fight back harder next time. Bellamy then goes as a guard to Dante's prison cell in the quarantine area and brings him his meal. Dante turns up the music and asks who he is. Bellamy tells him they need his help because Cage is killing the Delinquents. Dante tries to find out who is helping Bellamy but Bellamy won't tell him. Dante tells him that Cage has probably changed all access codes and he can't help them escape but he can buy them some time. Bellamy crawls around in the air vents again while he talks with Raven over the radio. Raven accidentally mentions Octavia is in Tondc and Bellamy is bothered that Clarke would lie to him. Raven tells him to focus. Later, Bellamy is in a room, pulling at wires and asking Raven how he'll know it's working when suddenly alarms blare "Containment breach," letting him he successfully irradiated Level 5 and saved the Delinquents from Dr. Tsing and the guards.[26]

In Mount Weather, Fox has been taken captive by the Mountain Men. They drag Fox into the Marrow Room and as they try to get her on the table, she breaks free and runs for the door. Another guard steps in front of her with a gun in her face. He turns and shoots the two guards dead, revealing himself to be Bellamy. Fox cries in happiness and hugs him as Maya Vie walks in and tells him they need to get Fox someplace safe. She takes them to her home where her father, Vincent Vie is sleeping on the couch. He tells Maya what she is doing is dangerous and Maya tells him that it's what her mother would have done. Her parents were part of a movement that refused the blood treatments. Her mom refused the treatment and died for her beliefs. Vincent agrees to let them stay for one night and Bellamy thanks him. Vincent warns Bellamy that the Mountain Me will never stop. Later, Maya is leading Bellamy through Mount Weather. She tells him to get the guns and she'll worry about getting them to the Mess Hall on level 5. Bellamy tells Maya that she's a "natural-born revolutionary," and she replies she's just trying to do what's right. Bellamy takes off to get the guns. After Maya is released by Cage Wallace with 20 minutes of oxygen to force the Delinquents to surrender, she tells them that Bellamy is going to try getting in through the Mess Hall trash chute. Monty works frantically on getting the trash chute open because Maya is down to her last minute of air. Miller helps him pull on the trash cute as they hear Bellamy come banging through. He tells them to give him Maya and takes her down the chute with him. Jasper follows after and they get her mask off in time. The door at the end of the chute opens and her dad appears. Bellamy and Jasper hug as Bellamy tells him that Clarke is coming with an army full of Grounders. Jasper asks if that means Finn finally got his peace talks and Bellamy replies, "something like that." Bellamy then leads all of the Delinquents through Mount Weather. He tells them they need to split up. Monty is against the idea and Miller asks who would help them. Bellamy takes them around a corner to reveal Maya and Vincent with a group of Mount Weather Resisters who are willing to help the Delinquents. Bellamy tells them to "stay alive. Be ready to fight because war is coming."[27]

Bellamy discovers his Mount Weather access card has stopped working. Raven asks over the radio if he's found the Acid Fog room yet and he tells her he'll call her back once he finds another way in. Two Mountain Men stop Bellamy and report back that they've found the target who is not Lovejoy. Bellamy takes off running and they chase him through the Mountain. Bellamy ducks around a corner and waits for one of the Mountain Men (Garza) to come around the corner before he knocks him out and steals his key card. Later, Bellamy has successfully made his way back to Vincent Vie when a Mount Weather Guard, Lee, appears. Bellamy pulls a gun on him but Vincent tells him it's all right. Lee tells Bellamy that some of the guards don't agree with Cage either. Bellamy then asks after the Delinquents and Vincent tells him they've been moved to already-searched areas because Cage has gone public with what happened on Level 5. Bellamy asks for help getting to the Acid Fog room and Vincent shows him designs of the retrofit ares in Mount Weather, what they have been using to move the Delinquents in secret. Vincent gives him an acetylene torch and shows him the route to take. Bellamy then uses the acetylene torch to cut his way into the Acid Fog room through an air vent. He grabs an emergency fire axe and uses it to bust the door lock to the Acid Fog room and jam the doors from being easily opened. He then calls into Raven and begins to describe the Acid Fog room. Wick tells Bellamy to go to the monitor and asks after Monty. Bellamy starts reading off what he sees on the monitor and asks if he can just blow it up. Wick tells him that would let Mount Weather know their defenses are down while Raven tells him he would probably melt his face off. Bellamy starts reading them all of the menu options. When he gets to "Maintenance and Cleaning," Raven and Wick up with the idea to use the Passivation process to neutralize the acid. Bellamy selects it and the machine whirs to life. He watches as the PH rises from 0 (acidic) and climbs to 7 (neutral) before a message flashes that the passivation was successful. Raven and Wick accidentally hug in celebration and Bellamy tells them to send a flare, letting Clarke and Lexa know the Acid Fog has been disabled. As Bellamy is about to leave the Acid Fog room, he notices an old manual dial tucked far back on the side of one of the huge barrels of acid. He cleans off the dial and realizes that the PH is still set to 0. The computer was wrong and the acid is not neutralized. He calls Raven on the radio, however, Cage and Emerson had intercepted the signal when they first discovered Bellamy and allowed him to think he had disabled the Acid Fog machine before cutting his communication with Raven. Cage tells them to reset the Acid Fog panel as they wait for the Grounder army to get into range. He then tells Emerson to bring him the intruder. Bellamy hears the Mount Weather Guards banging on the door to the Acid Fog room as they try to get in and he takes off running back toward the air duct he originally climbed through. He hides behind one of the flammable oxygen tanks and then makes a run for the air duct as the Mount Weather guards shoot at him. Once he's in the air duct, he shoots behind himself at the guards until he runs out of bullets. He scurries through the air duct as Emerson begins a countdown on the Acid Fog deployment. One of the guards goes after Bellamy in the air ducts while another guard checks the tanks in the Acid Fog room. When Emerson counts down to One, Cage says, "we're go for Veil." The Acid Fog machine starts to fire up just as one of the guards spots the lit acetylene torch next to the flammable oxygen tank. A massive explosion takes place, blowing out everyone and everything in the Acid Fog room and traveling through the air ducts. It takes out the guard that had followed Bellamy and the force of the explosion reaches Bellamy just as he gets to a ventilation shaft, pushing him out before the fire reaches him. Bellamy smiles with relief that he's still alive.[28]

Bellamy makes his way into the Harvest Chamber in Mount Weather. He keeps his promise to Echo and frees her from her cage. They start to free the other Grounders and Bellamy tells Echo to help him get them ready to fight. The Grounders start to get excited and Echo tells them to be quiet. Bellamy starts to tell her the plan when Cage Wallace comes over the PA, announcing to all of Mount Weather that they can all return to the ground. He tells them that before the Delinquents murdered her, Dr. Tsing had found a cure in their bone marrow. Bellamy tells Echo he has to go save the Delinquents and that he's going to bring them back to the Harvest Chamber. Echo thanks him for his help. Cage continues talking over the PA, asking for the residents of Mount Weather to turn over the "44 murderers" and if they don't, they will be considered enemies. Tilling and another guard have captured Fox, Miller, Jasper, and Maya. They are stopped by Vincent Vie who begs Tilling to let his daughter go. Tilling tells Vincent to step aside and raises his gun at him. As Tilling steps closer to take the shot, he is suddenly shot in the head from the right side. Tilling falls as Vincent runs over to the air vent and pries it open, revealing Bellamy, while Miller takes down the other guard and bashes his head against the wall. Bellamy tells them to go with Vincent to the Harvest Chamber where they'll be safe. Jasper and Maya decide to go with Bellamy to rescue Monty and the other Delinquents. Maya gives a hug to her father in goodbye. Later, Bellamy, Jasper, and Maya look for the last 12 Delinquents. They hear a gunshot and rush toward it, waiting until the Guards are gone. They find Mrs. Ryan, the woman who was hiding the last twelve delinquents, dead. Jasper wants to go to Level 5 but Bellamy doesn't think that's a good idea. Monty comes out and tells them he hid and had to let them kill Mrs. Ryan because he overheard that the Mountain Men know about Echo's Grounder army and are going for the Harvest Chamber. Bellamy, Maya, Jasper, and Monty then head to the Harvest Chamber. Maya discovers her dad, shot dead in the middle of the floor while Bellamy discovers every single one of the cages empty.[29]

Down in the mines underneath Mount Weather, Bellamy opens the intake door to let in Clarke and Octavia. He's brought Monty, Jasper, and Maya with him and everybody hugs. Clarke asks Bellamy if he has a plan and he tells her no, but they can speak to Dante Wallace. They split up with Bellamy, Clarke, and Monty going after Dante and Octavia going with Jasper and Maya to get her to Level 5 before she runs out of oxygen. In Dante's room in Mount Weather Quarantine, Dante tells them that there is no one in the Command Center watching because everyone is trapped on Level 5. Clarke explains how they did everything they could to keep the Mountain Men safe and he needs to help them. Dante refuses to help but they take him with them anyway to the Command Center where Monty breaks them in. Dante tells Clarke that he's not with his people because it's his responsibility to "bear it so they don't have to." Bellamy realizes that it was Dante who set up the alliance with Lexa. Once in the Command Center, Bellamy sees Raven strapped to the table in the dorm room while Clarke spots Emerson in the Mess Hall. She calls him over the radio and tells him to give the radio to Cage Wallace. Clarke tells Cage she has his father and tells him she'll kill Dante if he doesn't let her people go. Dante tells Cage to "stay the course" and Clarke raises up her gun and aims it at Dante. Cage tells his dad he'll take care of their people and Clarke shoots Dante dead. Clarke then tells Cage she will not stop until her people are free and will irradiate Level 5 if he doesn't let them go. Cage orders Emerson to go to the Command Center and kill them. Bellamy asks Monty to deactivate Emerson's key card as they watch Cage head toward the dorm. Clarke tells Monty to get it set up so they can irradiate Level 5 if they have to. Bellamy warns Clarke there is no going back if they do this. Bellamy then sees Octavia and Maya have been discovered by Mount Weather guards. He watches as Octavia takes out two Mount Weather guards just as Emerson arrives outside the Command Center. Bellamy then sees Octavia and Maya are surrounded by Mount Weather Guards in the Mess Hall. As Clarke reaches for the lever to irradiate Mount Weather, Bellamy places his hand on top of hers and says, "together," and they pull the lever. The Mount Weather residents begin to succumb to the radiation. Outside the Command Center, Emerson realizes what they have done and takes off running. Bellamy, Clarke, and Monty then walk through the Mess Hall and among all of the deceased residents of Mount Weather. Jasper is cradling a dead Maya and asks them what they did. The next day, the Sky People return to Camp Jaha. Bellamy watches at the gate as Monty gives Clarke a hug before entering Camp Jaha. Clarke tells Bellamy to have a drink for her and Bellamy realizes she's leaving. He tells her, "if you need forgiveness, I'll give you that. You're forgiven." She tells him, "I bear it so they don't have to," before hugging him and kissing him on the cheek in goodbye, telling him, "may we meet again." As Bellamy turns back to Camp Jaha, he replies, "may we meet again."[30]
